I've done a lot of work the last few weeks getting CiteGenie working in Firefox 3.0.  One of the requirements of Firefox 3.0 is that extensions must use SSL (https) for updates.  Now that we have a new SSL server working, I've been checking the entire codebase against Firefox 3.0rc2.  Several CiteGenie functions had to be rewritten, and all of the XPCom components have to be recompiled against the Gecko 1.9 source.

The latter has proved problematic.  Fortunately, CiteGenie only uses custom XPCom components for some non-critical operations (such as detecting is WordPerfect is installed and running.)  As a result, I have CiteGenie ready to go in Firefox 3.0 except for the custom XPCom components.  I will temporarily do without the XPCom components right now, so that version CiteGenie 0.2.3 can be released in a few days with Firefox 3.0 compatibility.

There will be no difference to users, since the XPCom components are only used internally.
